Job Description

ThinkGive is a non-profit organization that provides teachers in grades 4-8 with a social emotional learning program that fosters a culture of kindness and inclusion in classrooms and schools. We use the act of giving as a vehicle to empower students to explore their sense of self, lead with empathy, and experience firsthand the impact their positive actions can have on themselves and others.

The Marketing Manager plays a critical role in building ThinkGive’s brand awareness and program, all in alignment with its mission. This individual reports to the Executive Director and works with the Program Manager, Business Development Manager, and Marketing Committee. The candidate enjoys a startup environment, working independently and collaboratively with a small team.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy development 
- Create, implement, and measure a comprehensive marketing / communications plan

Marketing + Communications
- Maintain brand standards
- Create and implement marketing and communications activities and materials
- Write, edit, and design monthly newsletters and program promotions
- Website management: update content
- Incorporate sponsor and foundation recognition
- Evaluate advertising opportunities (articles, web ads, podcasts, social boosts, etc.)
- Develop promotional collateral to support program
- Managing fundraising campaigns (ThinkGive merchandise and partnership events)

Social Media Management
- Social media content creation 
- Drive strategy to use social media for program growth and increased awareness and engagement for programs, events, and campaigns

QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (copywriting / editing) 
- Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills
- Comfortable working from home
- A self-starter, able to multitask with solid organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
- Proven results in implementing marketing and communications strategic plans
- Basic design skills a plus (for social media, newsletters, etc.)
- Proficiency in Google (docs, sheets, folders), Canva, Wordpress
- 3-5 years of experience in communications and/or marketing, preferably at a nonprofit
- A sense of humor and a positive attitude
