The Parmenter Foundation provides support for compassionate end-of-life care and bereavement programs in MetroWest Boston. We provide funding for nonprofit organizations that deliver high quality, innovative palliative care and bereavement programs, and we offer educational and inspirational resources to help our neighbors navigate through the challenging grief process. The Parmenter Foundation is committed to helping MetroWest families cope, heal and build resilience.

The Position

The Parmenter Foundation seeks an energetic Community Outreach Coordinator with palliative care and bereavement services experience in MetroWest.  The Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for managing a palliative care and bereavement resource database; help develop resources for MetroWest families navigating through the challenging grief process, and network with professionals to create and execute educational programming. This is a part-time position.

Responsibilities:

·         Advise ED on topics relevant to bereavement and end-of-life care

·         Research relevant organizations

·         Update and upkeep website resource database

·         Inform speaker series program on relevant topics within mission area

·         Create education programs/curriculum

·         Network and collaborate with community partners, points of contact, stakeholders and experts

·         Support Grant Committee

·         Develop RFPs for innovative new programs

Required/Preferred Education, Experience & Skills: 

·         Effective communication skills

·         Excellent writing skills

·         Organizational and time management

·         Project management

·         WordPress experience

·         Knowledge of palliative care organizations in MetroWest

·         Knowledge of bereavement programs in MetroWest

·         Public speaking and presentation experience

·         Research

·         Team Collaboration

·         Detail-focused

Compensation:
