2009 Regional Meetings
Tough Times Call for Good Plans: How much longer will the downturn last? How high will unemployment go? Will there be more stimulus money? Are state budget cuts on the horizon? How Will Nonprofits Cope with Looming Budget Cuts and the Continuing Economic Downturn?
Overview:
The Massachusetts Nonprofit Network regional meetings are an opportunity for local nonprofit leaders to get together and discuss issues that are facing the sector in their region. The panel will examine economic forecasts for the region and the state, and how nonprofits should go about planning for the future.
This is your opportunity to meet face to face with the nonprofit leaders from your region and help shape the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network’s agenda. This meeting will provide community members with a chance to listen, learn, and discuss, as well as share their ideas concerning what the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network can do to support the sector in upcoming years. You will leave this meeting with a context for planning for the next five years, as well as specific steps you can take in the short term to help your organization stay strong.
