MNN hosts the Excellence Awards to bring attention to examples of various contributions that nonprofits make across the state. With the media drawing attention to some negative perceptions about the nonprofit sector, it is important for us to highlight all the good work that nonprofits do for the Commonwealth. Our organization’s mission is to unite and strengthen the nonprofit sector through advocacy, public awareness, and capacity building services. These awards shine a spotlight on nonprofit organizations and individuals making a difference in their communities so that the public will be aware of the necessity of these organizations.

The awards are given out each year at a State House Ceremony held on Nonprofit Awareness Day.
